Flapper Girl Lady Ties

It’s been a wild, wonderful ride these past few years, working towards what Flapper Girl has become. Growth and adventure always leads to more growth and adventure. I’ve got a head full of dreams and plans for creative endeavors for 2015, and part of gearing up for a new, exciting year (and path) is closing up the Flapper Girl shop—for good.

I’d like to thank all of you for your ♥ and support during this amazing journey. It means so much to me that you all believed in what I was creating and putting out there in the world. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

If you’d like to get any Flapper Girl neckwear at a deep discount, please check out the huge clearance sale happening over at the Flapper Girl shop, and please spread the word to anyone who might be interested in grabbing a Lady Tie or two for themselves or someone special in their lives.

Everything must go by end of 2014! I’m also open to trade :)

smChristine Haircut 1

Well, I did it! This weekend I had my hair cut into a bob… and I am absolutely in love with my new hairdo. It’s a nice change.

After I left the salon, I picked out some new vintage eyeglass frames to match my new ‘do. I will show you guys when they come back in a few weeks with my prescription in them.

June 24, 2013

Hey everyone! I’m super excited to announce that I’ve stocked the Flapper Girl Shop with a Summertime collection of lovely Lady Ties.

Lavender Fields: A lavender polka dot tie with feminine velvet ribbon & dainty flower adornments.
Night At the Opera: The fanciest Lady Tie yet! This one is made of blush-colored silk and lined with sturdy interfacing so its shape stays crisp. Featured in Design: Portfolio Self Promotion At Its Best

June 21, 2013

I am beyond thrilled to share some really exciting news! The retro academia-inspired stationery set that I designed is featured in a brand new book called Design: Portfolio Self Promotion At Its Best.

This is the first time any of my graphic design work has been published, and it’s incredibly surreal. It’s an honor to have my work chosen for this compilation—and to be featured alongside work by incredibly talented designers and firms. Thank you, Craig Welsh & Rockport Publishers
