It’s time! I can’t believe it! I’ve worked so hard on this year’s Halloween wearables collection, and I’m so excited to unveil it. I love how everything turned out, and I hope you like it too!
In addition to the new designs, I’ve also brought back a few of the most popular apron designs from last year. You can see all of our latest spooky offerings over at the Flapper Girl Boutique.

This last design was originally an OOAK apron I made for myself last year, but since so many people wanted to purchase one last year but couldn’t, I decided to make this design available for purchase this year!

Well, I did a test run of the paper and fabric brooch design I was talking about yesterday, and I’m happy to report that I love the results!
The paper parts are protected with a light spray varnish. I was halfway expecting the varnish to melt them into pulp, but actually the little paper bits kept their papery texture beautifully! Does this have anything to do with the even coat I was able to apply due to the steady hand I’ve acquired from months of practice with spray mount in school? Possibly.
Of course, while the coat of enamel will help protect the paper parts from the elements, this isn’t the type of brooch I’d want to stick on the lapel of my wool peacoat in the middle of winter. No, this brooch design is made for adorning those clothing staples that are protected under heavy outerwear like dresses, blouses, and of course my favorite—cardigans!

Here’s a little glimpse of what I’m up to today—designing an order of pendants and hair clips for the lovely PDX boutique Memento!

I finally added some rings to the Flapper Girl Shop. These are super fun pieces of jewelry, and most are made with vintage buttons. I love how the bright, retro tones really pop! These rings are perfect for adding a splash of color to your spring and summer wardrobe. All rings are adjustable for your pleasure.
More to come soon!
